The Gernika Peace Museum Foundation, has organized an extensive program for the second half of 2010, among which two exhibitions (Guatemala: So that all shall know by the Guatemalan photojournalist Daniel Hernández-Salazar and Dia - Tekhne: Dialogue through the art of Basque artist Alex Carrascosa), various educational activities (summer camp in July and September, new and exciting educational workshops ...), organization of the International Week of Peace (September), International Week of Human Rights (December .)... Peace Museums in the Russian textbook ACTUAL TEXT HERE>> Good news reached us from Moscow. The most popular Russian high school textbook of English language for 9-graders Enjoy English includes a one-page text on peace museums. It gives a short introduction on peace museums as well as it features some details on the International Museum of Peace and Solidarity in Samarkand. The article is titled "Start Smiling" Now referring to our international project “The World Smiles”. Students are requested not only to read this text, but also to analyze it and to do some exercises listed below it.Enjoy English is on the official federal list of textbooks recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation. This textbook has run through several editions and is widely used in general educational institutions all over Russia.
